Description:
The Lead Consultant: Data Business Analyst will act as a bridge between clients and software developers, ensuring that business-critical software solutions deliver real business value.
This role involves closely interacting with technical leads, developers, experience designers, product owners, and various stakeholders, including product teams in TechOps and business stakeholders.
The consultant will help articulate business value and outcomes, ideate, and create a product roadmap that aligns with a data-enabled business vision.
Responsibilities include managing multiple streams of work on the data platform, breaking work into epics, features, and stories, and conducting estimations within the team.
The consultant will promote agile best practices, develop release plans, and manage iteration and backlog to ensure timely delivery of the data platform.
Daily delivery management includes collecting requirements and feedback from platform users and consulting them on best practices.
Collaboration with technical leads on discussions and ensuring efficient product support operations is also part of the role.
Requirements:
Candidates should have an interest and experience in working with big data technologies, with knowledge of infrastructure concepts and data mesh being a significant plus.
Strong knowledge of core software development technologies such as APIs and storage is required.
A proven track record of delivering impactful software in a collaborative environment is essential.
Attention to detail and a practical approach to story-writing and delivery are necessary, along with the ability to connect client strategy to team outcomes.
Candidates should enjoy identifying root causes of client pain points and validating business opportunities or problems.
Familiarity with Agile, Lean, and Continuous Delivery methodologies is required, along with a passion for mentoring others.
Experience in modeling business processes and facilitating requirement elicitation sessions is necessary.
Strong prioritization skills, stakeholder buy-in, and conflict resolution abilities are essential.
Understanding of data platforms and the ability to consult with various roles to address pain areas is required.
Resilience and flexibility in ambiguous situations, along with a problem-solving mindset from both technical and business perspectives, are important.
