Remote Lead Consultant – Devops Engineer -Azure

Description:

• We are seeking a Lead Consultant – DevOps Engineer specialized in Azure, who will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining cloud infrastructure solutions.
• The ideal candidate will have a strong background in DevOps, exceptional project management skills, and the ability to lead teams toward the successful implementation of cloud infrastructure strategies.
• This position is full-time and remote, based in Argentina.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent is required. Three years of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 8 years of experience in Information Technology is required.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills are necessary.
• Experience with project/team management is required.
• Preferred qualifications include at least 4 years of experience in architecture/design/build of cloud-based infrastructure and applications using Azure (IaaS/PaaS).
• At least 4 years of experience in DevOps/CI/CD platform design and implementation is preferred.
• At least 4 years of experience in containers (AKS, GKE, or EKS) is preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience in PowerShell/Python is preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience in Azure DevOps pipeline, Terraform Enterprise, Docker, GitHub, and other DevOps tools is preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience in HashiCorp Terraform development is preferred.
• Proven experience using tools like Azure DevOps/VSTS to validate requirements, deploy, and troubleshoot deployments of code and technologies in staging and production environments is required.
• Experience maintaining large infrastructure on-premise and/or in the cloud is required.
• Experience working with automated configuration and deployment is required.
• Experience with Docker and related containerization and orchestration technologies is required.
• Experience with both cloud deployment and on-premise release workflows is required.
• Experience working with cloud providers and large hardware installations is required.
• A working knowledge and a solid foundation in the basics around how to operate and secure web servers, databases, systems, and configuration management is required.
• Experience with networking, load balancing, clustering, and firewall/security group security concepts is required.
• A working knowledge of Linux and Windows systems administration and security concepts is required.
• Experience with several distributions of Linux (Ubuntu, Red Hat) and Windows is required.
• A working knowledge and experience with version control software like GitHub and TFS is required.
• Working experience with Jenkins/related CI tools, virtualization, and Docker, and maintaining and managing cloud infrastructure on Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud is required.
• Extensive knowledge of cloud providers and large hardware installations, modern continuous development and integration tools, and an understanding of Linux and Windows OS and internals is required.
