The Lead Data Engineer position is a remote opportunity based in India, with working hours from 4 PM IST to 12 AM IST, ideally aligning with 11:30 AM PST.
The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines to support growing data processing needs.
The candidate will be responsible for data validation and debugging to ensure high data quality and reliability.
The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and implement efficient data processing solutions.

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience is required.
Proficiency in data modeling and architecture, leveraging AWS services to architect scalable and efficient data solutions is essential.
Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role is necessary.
Strong proficiency in AWS services relevant to data engineering, including AWS Glue, Lambda, S3, Redshift, DynamoDB, Amazon Athena, and OpenSearch is required.
Experience in designing and building data pipelines from diverse source systems is needed.
A solid understanding of data lake and warehousing concepts and best practices is important.
Proficiency in programming languages used for data manipulation and transformation, such as Python and SQL, is required.
Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL (PSQL) is necessary.
Understanding of database systems, including schema design, SQL querying, and performance optimization is essential.
Experience implementing data quality checks and validation processes is required.
Familiarity with Cloudformation and CI/CD for deployment is necessary.
Experience using data quality validation tools and frameworks, such as Monte Carlo, is preferred.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment is essential.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are required.
