Remote Lead Data Engineer

Description:

• As a Lead Data Engineer on the Public Cloud team, you will develop cloud cost management and optimization software solutions at scale.
• The role involves hands-on design, building, and ownership of systems for cloud financial management across globally distributed teams.
• You will lead design and architecture discussions, advocate for best practices, and participate in code reviews.
• Responsibilities include implementing a unified view of costs across multiple cloud providers, developing budgeting and forecast modules, and automating reporting on key metrics.
• You will expand and optimize existing APIs and lead the integration and management of data from multiple cloud providers.

Requirements:

• Expertise in developing backend software solutions using Java, Spring Boot, and Python is required.
• Experience with large scale ETL solutions and data processing/querying solutions, such as Apache Spark, is necessary.
• You must have expertise in Service Oriented Architectures, an API-first approach, and cloud-based service offerings, preferably on AWS.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, specifically Postgres and Snowflake, is required.
• Familiarity with AWS, GCP, and/or Azure is essential.
• Experience with Apache Superset for visualization and dashboarding is needed.
• A background in DevOps and modern SDLC practices and tools is required.
• A systematic problem-solving approach, excellent communication skills, and a sense of ownership are essential.
