  • The company is seeking a Lead Engineer with a strong data engineering focus to deliver a next-generation data platform to enterprises across North America.
  • The role involves leading a team of data engineers focused on data integration and solution deployment.
  • Responsibilities include overseeing the development and management of robust, scalable, and reliable data pipelines.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related fields is required, with equivalent work experience highly valued.
  • Candidates should have 5-10 years of experience in data engineering, software engineering, or client deployment roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Strong leadership skills are necessary, including the ability to mentor and motivate a team and drive outcomes.
  • Expertise in designing, building, and optimizing ETL/ELT data pipelines using languages such as Python, JavaScript, Golang, or Scala is required.
  • Experience managing large-scale data processing environments, including Databricks and Spark, is essential.
  • Proven experience with Apache Airflow for orchestrating data pipelines and managing workflow automation is needed.
  • Deep knowledge of cloud services, particularly AWS (EC2/ECS, Lambda, S3), is required.
  • Hands-on experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases, along with a deep understanding of data modeling and architecture, is necessary.
  • Strong collaboration skills with clients and cross-functional teams to deliver technical solutions that meet business needs are essential.
  • Proven experience in unit testing, integration testing, and engineering best practices to ensure high-quality code is required.
  • Familiarity with agile project management tools (JIRA, Confluence, etc.) and methodologies is preferred.
  • Experience with data visualization and analytics tools such as Jupyter Lab, Metabase, or Tableau is beneficial.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills are necessary, especially in distributed teams.
