Description:
As a Lead Data Scientist at Facet, you will enhance our analytics and predictive capabilities through research, experimentation, and data modeling techniques.
You will be part of the Data Science & Analytics team, focusing on modeling, understanding, and automating growth, margin, and retention initiatives, as well as product features.
Your role will involve collaborating with teammates and stakeholders to analyze past data and predict future trends.
You should possess strong skills in communication, visualization, automation, software engineering, and reproducibility.
The position requires a balance of analytical and scientific skills, with a strong emphasis on advanced and predictive analytics.
Daily responsibilities will include data analysis, visualization, and predictive model development.
You will produce analysis reports and diagnostic models to uncover hidden relationships and patterns in data.
You will ensure the quality of code through reviews and maintain clarity and error-free coding practices.
Data engineering tasks will involve gathering, cleaning, and preprocessing data from various sources, performing feature engineering, and deploying pipelines on cloud infrastructure.
You will develop, validate, and deploy predictive models using machine learning algorithms and statistical techniques.
The role includes using technologies to create abstractions and novel features for applications.
Continuous improvement is essential, requiring you to stay updated on developments in data science and participate in knowledge-sharing sessions.
Requirements:
You must have 6+ years of experience in a data science or machine learning role.
Experience with business efficiency metrics such as Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), Revenue Acquisition Cost (RAC), Retention, Margin, Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR), Lifetime Value (LTV), and Engagement is required.
Proficiency in at least one dashboarding tool, such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Google Data Studio, Streamlit, or Dash, is necessary.
You should be proficient in Python and SQL.
Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and statistical techniques for predictive modeling, including Regression, Classification, Clustering, Time Series Analysis, and Optimization, is essential.
You must have proficiency with end-to-end pipelines and expert knowledge in model evaluation metrics.
Experience in pulling data from various third-party systems and APIs is required.
Proficiency with version control is necessary.
You should demonstrate the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency with visualization in Python is required.
Familiarity with best practices in secure data handling and customer data privacy is essential.
Benefits:
The position offers a base salary ranging from $170,000 to $195,000, plus a bonus based on the applicant's experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
