Description:

The Data Science team helps Alma achieve its mission by leveraging data to inform business strategy and drive product innovations.
The Care Finding domain is dedicated to helping clients find the right providers that serve their needs.
As Lead Data Scientist, Analytics, you will leverage your analytical expertise to inform customer acquisition strategy, improve client conversion, and optimize marketing efficiency.
You will tackle challenging problems such as client-provider matching, LTV prediction, and conversion funnel optimization.
This is a highly cross-functional role where you will work closely with stakeholders in Product, Engineering, and Marketing.
There is a possibility to transition to a managerial role in the future depending on team and business needs.
You will generate insights through statistical and causal analysis to inform product strategy and prioritization.
You will proactively identify opportunities to improve client conversion and marketing efficiency.
You will define metrics and OKRs that align team output to company goals.
You will advise senior leadership on key strategic decisions.
You will design, execute, and analyze A/B testing experiments to validate product hypotheses.
You will communicate technical insights effectively to influence decision making.
You will champion a data-driven decision culture and mentor junior data scientists.
Requirements:
You must have a Master’s degree in a relevant quantitative field (e.g. data science, statistics, economics, operations research) or equivalent industry experience.
You should have 4-8 years of experience as a data scientist or product analyst supporting product development.
You must be an expert in SQL.
You should be proficient in either R or Python for data analysis.
You need a proven track record of driving cross-functional initiatives from end to end and delivering significant impact.
You should have extensive experience applying statistical analysis (e.g. hypothesis testing and regression analysis) to draw trustworthy conclusions from data.
You must be experienced in designing and analyzing A/B testing experiments.
You should be able to turn ambiguous business problems into clearly defined data science solutions.
You need to thrive in a cross-functional environment and be comfortable managing a diverse group of stakeholders.
You must be an effective communicator who can drive consensus and influence others to take action by communicating analytical insights convincingly.
You should be results-driven and passionate about building great products, with a proven track record of taking projects from inception to launch.
You must be excited about the potential to move into a people management role and have managed or mentored Data Scientists in the past.
