Remote Lead Data Scientist, Support (GenAI)

Description:

• Wolt is seeking a Lead Data Scientist for their Support Group, which focuses on developing in-house customer service tooling.
• The role involves working on support chat, operational tooling for support agents, and self-service and automation.
• The candidate will lead a small data science team embedded in cross-functional development teams, collaborating with engineers, designers, and product and analytics personnel.
• Responsibilities include scaling Data Science as a function, managing Machine Learning and AI use cases, and facilitating the team's development through personal development plans and regular one-on-ones.
• The position requires direct interaction with senior stakeholders to set the data science vision and direction for the group, executing and implementing data science and machine learning projects end to end.
• The role can be based in Berlin, Helsinki, or Stockholm, or remotely in Finland, Sweden, Germany, or Estonia, with relocation support available for candidates outside these countries.

Requirements:

• The ideal candidate should be a Data Science enthusiast with experience in building Data Science, Machine Learning, and AI solutions that have measurable impacts.
• Candidates must understand how to build data products and care about the end user experience.
• Experience in building production-level ML and AI solutions, including real-time applications and large-scale deployments, is essential.
• Strong leadership experience in managing a technical Data Science team is required, along with skills in making personal development plans and conducting regular one-on-ones.
• A deep understanding of Machine Learning, AI, and Statistics, as well as experience in Natural Language Processing (NLP), is necessary.
• Interest in Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI (GenAI) applications is preferred.
• Strong communication and presentation skills are needed to represent the data science function to the organization and work with senior stakeholders.
