Remote Lead Data Scientist, Support (GenAI)

Description:

• Wolt is seeking a Lead Data Scientist for their Support Group, which focuses on developing in-house customer service tooling.
• The role involves working on support chat, operational tooling for support agents, and self-service and automation.
• The candidate will lead a small data science team embedded in cross-functional development teams, collaborating with engineers, designers, and product and analytics personnel.
• Responsibilities include scaling Data Science as a function, managing Machine Learning and AI use cases, and facilitating team development through personal development plans and regular one-on-ones.
• The position requires direct collaboration with senior stakeholders to set the data science vision and direction, executing and implementing data science and machine learning projects end to end.
• The role can be based in Berlin, Helsinki, or Stockholm, or remotely in Finland, Sweden, Germany, and Estonia, with relocation support available for candidates outside these countries.

Requirements:

• The candidate must have previous experience in building Data Science, Machine Learning, and AI solutions with measurable impact.
• A strong understanding of building production-level ML and AI solutions is essential, along with experience in real-time applications and large-scale deployments.
• Experience in leading a technical Data Science team is required to improve best practices and support team members.
• The candidate should have a background in making personal development plans, conducting regular one-on-ones, and participating in recruitment processes.
• A deep understanding of Machine Learning, AI, and Statistics is necessary, along with experience in Natural Language Processing (NLP).
• Interest in Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI (GenAI) applications is preferred.
• Strong communication and presentation skills are needed to represent the data science function within the organization and work with senior stakeholders.
