Description:
Lead a team of data warehouse engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical leadership in data warehouse engineering best practices and technologies.
Lead the design and architecture of data warehousing solutions to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance.
Design and implement data models and schemas to support analytical and operational requirements in a data warehouse environment.
Develop ETL/ELT processes to extract, transform, and load data into the data warehouse while ensuring data quality and integrity.
Optimize data warehouse performance by identifying and addressing bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
Implement data governance policies to ensure data quality, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Set up monitoring and alerting systems to track data warehouse performance and health proactively.
Define best practices for data warehouse engineering, documentation, and usage to facilitate understanding and collaboration.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data solutions that meet business needs.
Mentor junior engineers, providing guidance, support, and opportunities for growth in their careers.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
7+ years of experience in data warehouse engineering, focusing on designing, building, and maintaining data warehousing solutions.
Leadership experience with the ability to lead and mentor a team of engineers.
Proficiency in SQL and experience with data warehousing technologies like Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, or similar.
Strong understanding of data modeling concepts and techniques, with experience in designing and implementing data models and schemas.
Experience with ETL/ELT processes, data integration, and data governance in a data warehouse environment.
Strong problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to troubleshoot complex data issues.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
