Description:

Koin Games is seeking a Lead Designer for a next-generation Collectible Card Game focused on player experience and digital ownership.
The role involves partnering with the Chief Product Officer to solve creative problems and establish core design pillars.
Responsibilities include creating and maintaining detailed design documentation, reviewing game builds, and overseeing in-game content creation.
The designer will provide feedback on game builds and engage in play tests to refine game balance and player engagement.
Collaboration with key leads is essential to determine project design specifications and ensure successful product execution.
The position is fully remote and requires working on Pacific time.

Requirements:

A minimum of 7+ years of experience as a lead game designer, specifically in collectible card games or similar genres, is required.
Candidates must have a proven track record in designing, documenting, and delivering high-quality game systems and content.
A deep understanding of card game mechanics, player psychology, and competitive balance is essential.
An affinity for collectible card games such as Hearthstone, Marvel Snap, and Magic: The Gathering is preferred.
Excellent creative vision, verbal, written, and organizational skills are necessary.
Experience in maintaining and iterating on game design documentation throughout a game's lifecycle is required.

Koin Games offers competitive salaries based on market standards, with a base salary range of $90,000 to $144,000 depending on skills and experience.
