Description:

Gorilla Logic is seeking a full-time remote Lead DevOps Engineer for CarNow, responsible for infrastructure as code (IaC), software development, continuous integration, system administration, and Linux management.
The Lead DevOps Engineer will lead and manage the technical aspects of the DevOps team on a daily basis.
Key responsibilities include troubleshooting production issues, ensuring site reliability of the infrastructure, maintaining a disaster recovery plan, documenting DevOps processes, and automating the deployment of new services.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), with Java or Typescript being a plus.
A strong background in software development and continuous integration is required.
Proficiency in Linux management is essential.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills are necessary for this role.
Excellent communication and leadership abilities are required.
A Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience is mandatory.
Relevant certifications, such as AWS or Azure, are a plus.
Hands-on experience in setting up scalable architectures and systems, including caching, message queues, databases, and microservices, is required.
In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes concepts, such as pods, services, deployments, and secrets, is necessary.
Experience with containerized applications in Docker is essential.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash is required.
The ability to set up monitoring, logging, and alerting for cloud applications is necessary, with experience in Datadog being a plus.
A strong understanding of networking concepts and security best practices is required.
Experience with CI/CD tools like Argo CI/CD and GitHub Actions is necessary.
