Description:

  • IT Labs is seeking a part-time DevOps Lead who combines technical depth with strong leadership and decision-making skills.
  • The role involves shaping and maintaining highly resilient, scalable, and secure environments across AWS and Azure.
  • The DevOps Lead will define best practices and build smart solutions from the ground up.
  • Responsibilities include weaving automation into deployment pipelines and leading a high-performing team with vision and precision.

Requirements:

  • The candidate must oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure.
  • They should lead a team of DevOps engineers, assigning tasks and ensuring adherence to best practices in deployment, monitoring, and security.
  • A minimum of 7 years of hands-on DevOps engineering experience is required, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • A strong understanding of Kubernetes architecture, including controllers, operators, telemetry, and observability setup is essential.
  • The candidate must have the ability to deploy ArgoCD programmatically, manage day-two operations, and integrate with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Skills in configuring providers and authentication chains, writing XRDs, and building scalable compositions are necessary.
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and Terragrunt for cloud provisioning is required.
  • The candidate should be capable of designing and operating infrastructure on multiple cloud providers to enable faster development workflows through automation.
  • They must build and package apps using reusable GitHub actions as part of CI/CD pipelines to improve overall developer productivity.
  • The role requires designing, building, and maintaining a highly available production-grade setup of Kubernetes clusters along with networking, firewall, and endpoints.
  • Collaboration with the team to implement monitoring and alerting systems using Grafana, Prometheus, and Loki is essential for improving observability and providing better operational insights.
