Description:

  • EverOps is seeking a DevOps Tech Pod Leader with a deep understanding of enterprise cloud infrastructure.
  • The role involves managing projects autonomously with minimal direction while ensuring client satisfaction and high availability.
  • You will work remotely as part of the U.S.-Based Virtual Operating Center, collaborating with a team of engineers to manage multiple customers’ production cloud environments.
  • Responsibilities include managing the Tech Pod from a complete delivery perspective, ensuring project scope and alignment with clients, and guiding the Tech Pod both technically and career-wise.
  • You will develop and utilize automation tools to operate, manage, and scale production and development environments efficiently.
  • Participation in regular customer and internal scrums is required, along with monitoring environments for constant improvement.
  • The role also involves implementing new tools and technologies as customer requirements evolve and designing new solutions while improving existing ones.
  • Operational support and project deployments for customer environments are key aspects of the position.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 5+ years of professional experience as a DevOps, CloudOps, or Site Reliability Engineer.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in managing teams and engaging with clients both strategically and tactically is required.
  • Strong hands-on experience and a deep understanding of Linux is essential.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Golang, Python, Ruby, Bash, Typescript, or Rust is necessary.
  • Candidates should have strong hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, or Azure, specifically in designing, building, and running highly-available cloud-native environments.
  • Experience with automation tools like Ansible, Chef, and Packer is required.
  • A solid understanding of best practices related to Infrastructure as Code, including Terraform and CloudFormation, is necessary.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Github Actions, Argo CD, Spinnaker, or Travis CI is expected.
  • Experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes is required, along with monitoring tools like DataDog, Splunk, ELK, or Prometheus/Grafana.
  • Candidates must have NoSQL experience with databases such as Cassandra, MongoDB, or DynamoDB, and relational database experience with MySQL or Postgres.
  • Experience with Azure is also required.
