Description:

  • The position is for a Lead DevOps Engineer focused on a SaaS product hosted in Microsoft Azure.
  • This is a permanent, full-time, remote role based in Portugal, and candidates must have the right to work in Portugal without visa sponsorship.
  • The Lead DevOps Engineer will be part of a small, remotely distributed DevOps Team that collaborates closely with the wider Platform team.
  • Responsibilities include designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting ZigZag’s infrastructure and application architecture.
  • The role involves managing Azure resources, implementing CI/CD pipelines, configuration management, monitoring and alerting, and ensuring security and compliance.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • Extensive experience in a DevOps or infrastructure engineering role is necessary.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Azure cloud services and architecture is essential.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is required.
  • Good understanding of helm and GitOps tools like ArgoCD and Flux is needed.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages like PowerShell, Bash, or Python is necessary.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI is required.
  • Practical experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana and Prometheus is essential.
  • A solid understanding of networking, security, and compliance principles is necessary.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills are required.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential for effective teamwork.
  • Experience in motivating and leading a team of technical engineers is necessary.
  • Candidates should demonstrate a "We before Me" collaboration attitude and exhibit tenacity in problem-solving.
