Description:
The position is for a Lead DevOps Engineer focused on a SaaS product hosted in Microsoft Azure.
This is a permanent, full-time, remote role based in Portugal, and candidates must have the right to work in Portugal without visa sponsorship.
The Lead DevOps Engineer will be part of a small, remotely distributed DevOps Team that collaborates closely with the wider Platform team.
Responsibilities include designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting ZigZag’s infrastructure and application architecture.
The role involves managing Azure resources, implementing CI/CD pipelines, configuration management, monitoring and alerting, and ensuring security and compliance.

Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
Extensive experience in a DevOps or infrastructure engineering role is necessary.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Azure cloud services and architecture is essential.
Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is required.
Good understanding of helm and GitOps tools like ArgoCD and Flux is needed.
Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages like PowerShell, Bash, or Python is necessary.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI is required.
Practical experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana and Prometheus is essential.
A solid understanding of networking, security, and compliance principles is necessary.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills are required.
Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential for effective teamwork.
Experience in motivating and leading a team of technical engineers is necessary.
Candidates should demonstrate a "We before Me" collaboration attitude and exhibit tenacity in problem-solving.
