BEXRealty.com is seeking a passionate Lead DevOps/SRE Engineer to join their team in a remote capacity.
The role involves architecting cloud infrastructure and leading the design, development, and implementation of secure and cost-effective solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Responsibilities include ensuring smooth deployments and optimal performance of the infrastructure.
The position requires leading, planning, and executing DevOps/SRE projects throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
The engineer will design and implement secure cloud infrastructure, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, and manage Kubernetes deployments for zero downtime.
Monitoring and optimizing infrastructure performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing solutions are key tasks.
The role also involves assessing current systems and processes to develop improvements, securing systems against cyber threats, and developing disaster recovery plans.
The engineer will manage the organization's hardware, software, and networking components and communicate technical concepts to stakeholders at all levels.
Direct management and mentorship of a Junior DevOps engineer is also part of the role.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in DevOps and SRE roles.
Strong proficiency in GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD tools, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) is required.
Expertise in monitoring and alerting with strong incident response skills is essential.
Experience with time series metrics tools like Graphite and data visualization tools such as Tableau, Grafana, or Kibana is necessary.
Familiarity with log aggregation and exploration using the ELK stack is required.
Understanding of email deliverability with PowerMTA is important.
Candidates should be able to code in a language such as PHP, Node.js, or Python.
References and consent to a background check are mandatory.
Bonus points for experience with RDBMS like MySQL and PostgreSQL, cloud budget projection and cost reporting skills, and cloud platform or DevOps certifications.
