Remote Lead Engineer - Customer Data Platform

Description:

• The company has over 1100 employees across 15 countries, working remotely and in their headquarters in Dallas, Texas.
• HighLevel serves a diverse customer base, including over 60K agencies and entrepreneurs and 450K businesses globally.
• The Lead Engineer will join the CRM team and is responsible for implementing visual elements that users see and interact with in a web application.
• The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain CRM applications and features.
• The engineer will build and optimize user interfaces using Vue.js and develop server-side logic and APIs using Node.js.
• Responsibilities include implementing robust data storage solutions, integrating message queues, and ensuring the security and integrity of data and application systems.

Requirements:

• The candidate must have good hands-on experience with Node.js and Vue.js (or React/Angular).
• A strong understanding of ElasticSearch, Data Indexing, Database Sharding, and Auto Scaling techniques is required.
• Experience working with Message Queues, Pub-sub patterns, and Event-Based architecture is essential.
• Proficiency in real-time data migration and real-time event processing is necessary.
• Familiarity with messaging systems like Active MQ, Rabbit MQ, and Kafka is required.
• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering or a related field of study is mandatory.
• Expertise with MongoDB and a proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git, is needed.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for this position.
