Remote Lead Engineer - Mobile

Description:

• As the Lead Engineer – Mobile, you will own the end-to-end development of the mobile application.
• You will be responsible for writing the first line of code and coordinating the deployment pipeline.
• Your work will significantly shape the product.
• You will set up the initial DevOps and CI/CD pipelines to ensure a professional and scalable environment.
• You will have the opportunity to lead and mentor additional developers, interns, and contractors, guiding them to deliver top-quality features.
• You will build and deploy an initial version of the mobile app within weeks, closely collaborating with the UI/UX designer.
• You will integrate the existing Swift-based audio processing unit and WebSocket-based transcription services.
• You will establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines, issue tracking, and automation to streamline development and deployment processes.
• You will establish a testing framework to ensure stability and performance.
• Within 6 months, you will coordinate and manage a small team of contractors, working students, and interns.
• You will delegate tasks effectively to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables.

Requirements:

• You must have hands-on experience with Swift, Kotlin, React Native (or similar), having shipped at least one app from concept to production.
• You should possess in-depth knowledge of modern mobile architectures and best practices.
• Familiarity with Apple and Android platforms is required, along with an interest in exploring new APIs as they are released.
• Understanding of audio processing, WebSocket integration, and real-time data handling is a plus.
• You should be comfortable setting up build pipelines, automated testing, and deployment processes for both iOS and Android.
• Experience with version control, code reviews, and collaboration tools (e.g., GitHub, Jira) is necessary.
• You must have the ability to delegate tasks and guide others to deliver top-notch work.
• Excellent communication skills are required to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, from designers to backend engineers.
