Remote Lead Front End Developer

Description:

• Lead Front End Developers at Detroit Labs collaborate with project teams to create maintainable, accessible, and high-performing software solutions.
• Responsibilities include reviewing code, estimating features, and ensuring timely project delivery by providing context and recommendations to non-developer groups.
• The role involves adapting to new technologies, mentoring teammates, and supporting project delivery success.
• Lead Developers report to the Developer Manager and work on both new projects and existing code bases.

Requirements:

• Must have 10+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience in building production-ready JavaScript applications using technologies like TypeScript, React, Next.js, MaterialUI, or Tailwind.
• Proficiency in content management systems, web services consumption, responsive user layouts, and basic animations.
• Familiarity with build automation, production web application deployment, cloud hosting solutions, accessibility best practices, and security best practices.
• Ability to work with stakeholders, mentor other developers, and demonstrate a willingness to learn and grow in understanding justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion.
