Remote Lead Front-End Engineer

Description:

• As the Lead Front-End Engineer at PublicSquare, you will be part of a team delivering innovative solutions for the company, focusing on connecting freedom-loving Americans with local community, reliable information, and businesses that share their values.
• Responsible for overseeing technical aspects of mobile and web apps, collaborating with other engineering team members, User Experience disciplines, QA, Creative Designers, and Product Managers.
• Utilize technologies such as TypeScript, JavaScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, Tailwind, Capacitor, and more to develop user-facing applications for websites and mobile applications.
• Work with Development, QA, DevOps, and PM teams to execute the development roadmap and optimize the web/mobile tech stack for cost, reliability, and scalability.
• Partner with Product and Design teams to lead the creation and delivery of products, features, and functionality, while advising on technologies to improve efficiency.
• Architect system infrastructure around security, scalability, availability, and maintainability, ensuring technologies are used efficiently, profitably, and securely.
• Mentor and develop other team members, participate in a rapid, agile development schedule, and evaluate and implement new frameworks and design patterns as needed.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of software development experience, including a background as a software architect or lead developer.
• Experience in fast-paced, highly innovative SaaS startup and scale-up companies.
• Proven leadership and organizational abilities, with experience as a lead engineer, architect, or similar leadership role.
• Ability to communicate effectively, inspire and motivate staff, and collaborate with other teams.
• High emotional intelligence (EQ), good listening skills, clear communication, and high integrity.
• Strategic thinking, problem-solving aptitude, and ability to conduct technological analyses and research.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Data Science, or similar.
