Remote Lead Front End Engineer

Description:

• We are looking for an exceptional Lead Front End Engineer to take full ownership of the Front End and the team behind it.
• You will partner with our CTO to drive technical direction and develop a team of high-performing software engineers.
• This role is crucial for paving the way for our post-Series A expansion.
• Initially, the role will involve 90% individual contribution and 10% management, with management responsibilities expected to grow to 40% within 6-12 months.
• You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining user-facing features using Angular and TypeScript, focusing on creating visually stunning and scalable UI components.
• You will also improve the frontend architecture and prioritize pragmatic solutions suited to our current development stage.
• As a manager, you will spearhead hiring, conduct 1:1s, provide mentorship, and promote a culture of continuous learning and collaboration.
• You will ensure clean code through extensive code reviews and establish Secfix's engineering culture.
• You will embody and champion our values: obsession with customers, smart building, trust creation, hackiness, ownership, and remote leadership.

Requirements:

• You must have strong JavaScript, TypeScript, and CSS fundamentals, along with extensive hands-on experience with Angular.
• A proven track record of managing front-end teams is essential, with strong interpersonal skills and natural empathy to foster a collaborative engineering culture.
• You should have an owner mindset, taking pride in owning customer-facing features from ideation to launch.
• Experience in a fast-paced, agile startup environment is required, ideally as an early engineer.
• You must be passionate about sharing knowledge and championing new technologies.
