Remote Lead Front End Engineer

Description:

• The Lead Front End Engineer will take full ownership of the Front End and the team, partnering with the CTO to drive technical direction.
• The role involves developing and growing a team of high-performing software engineers to foster a collaborative engineering culture.
• The engineer will pave the way for the post-Series A expansion of the company.
• Initially, the role will involve 90% individual contribution and 10% management, with the management aspect expected to grow to 40% within 6-12 months.
• Secfix automates security compliance for SMBs in Europe, integrating with various tech stacks to simplify compliance processes.
• The team is on a mission to automate security and compliance for modern companies and become a leader in European compliance automation.
• The Lead Front End Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining user-facing features using Angular and TypeScript, focusing on creating visually stunning and scalable UI components.
• The role will also involve spearheading hiring, conducting 1:1s, providing mentorship, and promoting Secfix engineering culture.

Requirements:

• Strong expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, and CSS fundamentals with extensive hands-on experience in Angular.
• Proven track record of managing front-end teams and a desire to move towards a management role.
• Ability to collaborate with various teams including CTO, CEO, CSMs, Sales, and Design.
• Experience in a startup environment, preferably as an early engineer, with a hands-on and flexible approach.
• Passion for sharing knowledge and championing new technologies.
