Remote Lead Frontend Engineer

Description:

• We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead to lead a team of three talented frontend engineers and drive the development of user-facing applications.
• In this role, you will be instrumental in setting technical direction, mentoring your team, and collaborating directly with product, management, and other departments to achieve business goals.
• You will be responsible for designing and implementing frontend solutions using cutting-edge technologies like React, TypeScript, and Styled Components.

• Drive technical excellence within the team by establishing and maintaining coding standards, conducting thorough code reviews, and fostering a culture of quality.
• Proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical challenges to ensure the stability and performance of the frontend applications.
• Partner with backend engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of features.
• Monitor and optimize application performance metrics, including page load times and responsiveness.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our frontend stack remains modern and efficient.

Requirements:

• You must have 7+ years of professional experience as a frontend engineer, with at least 2 years in a technical leadership role.
• Deep expertise in React and strong experience with modern frontend tools and libraries is required.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor engineering teams, fostering growth and collaboration is essential.
• A strong understanding of web performance optimization, responsive design, and cross-browser compatibility is necessary.
• Experience with unit testing frameworks like Jest and react-testing-library is required.
• Familiarity with backend technologies and APIs (hands-on experience is a plus) is expected.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment, are crucial.
• Experience working in fast-paced startup environments or similarly dynamic settings is preferred.
• You must reside in the United States with authorization to work in the U.S.
• Prior experience in the mortgage technology industry is a plus but not required.
