Description:

The Lead Front-end Engineer position can be based out of San Francisco, New York, or remotely from various states.
This role involves driving the technical vision for front-end infrastructure and UI for the enterprise Payments Operations product.
The engineer will work closely with engineering, product, and design teams to deliver customer-focused outcomes.
Responsibilities include balancing hands-on technical execution with strategic decision-making to ensure scalability, developer efficiency, and a world-class user experience.
The engineer will serve as the Directly Responsible Individual (DRI) for all UI/FE engineering efforts and will actively participate in moving product initiatives forward.
The role requires a deep understanding of both the technical aspects of building front-end systems and the reasoning behind product decisions and user needs.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 10+ years of experience in front-end and UI engineering roles, including at least 3 years in a technical leadership position.
Proven success in scaling front-end infrastructure and delivering enterprise SaaS products at scale is required.
A track record of product-oriented thinking and the ability to influence decisions based on user impact, speed, and quality is essential.
Deep expertise with modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular) and associated technology stacks and tools is necessary.
A strong background in component-based development, design systems, and front-end architecture patterns is required.
Proficiency in building scalable UI infrastructure and optimizing developer workflows (CI/CD, performance tooling, etc.) is needed.
Candidates should have a solid understanding of user experience design principles and the ability to collaborate with design teams.
A product-driven mindset and strong ability to collaborate cross-functionally are essential.
Experience in leading teams, mentoring engineers, and fostering a culture of ownership and collaboration is required.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on balancing speed, scalability, and user impact are necessary.
