Description:

The Lead Front-end Engineer position can be based out of San Francisco, New York, or remotely from various states.
This role involves combining deep technical expertise with strong product thinking to advance the enterprise Payments Operations product.
The engineer will define and execute the technical vision for front-end infrastructure and UI, collaborating closely with engineering, product, and design teams to achieve customer-focused outcomes.
As a key technical leader, the individual will balance hands-on technical execution with strategic decision-making to ensure scalability, developer efficiency, and a world-class user experience.
Responsibilities include driving the front-end vision, collaborating with product teams, leading critical product development efforts, optimizing front-end infrastructure, advocating for best practices in UI/UX development, mentoring front-end engineers, and fostering a collaborative engineering culture.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 10+ years of experience in front-end and UI engineering roles, including at least 3 years in a technical leadership position.
Proven success in scaling front-end infrastructure and delivering enterprise SaaS products at scale is required.
A track record of product-oriented thinking and the ability to influence decisions based on user impact, speed, and quality is essential.
Deep expertise with modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular) and associated technology stacks and tools is necessary.
A strong background in component-based development, design systems, and front-end architecture patterns is required.
Proficiency in building scalable UI infrastructure and optimizing developer workflows (CI/CD, performance tooling, etc.) is needed.
Candidates should have a solid understanding of user experience design principles and the ability to collaborate with design teams.
A product-driven mindset, strong cross-functional collaboration skills, and experience in leading teams and mentoring engineers are essential.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on balancing speed, scalability, and user impact are required.
