Description:

• The Lead Frontend Software Engineer will join the Onboarding Team at Square, playing a crucial role in enabling sellers to onboard and adopt Square’s ecosystem.
• Responsibilities include leading the design and development of multiple products and solutions used by sellers at a high scale, ensuring robust and scalable architectures.
• The role involves delivering cross-functional projects on tight deadlines, managing priorities effectively to meet business needs.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in frontend engineering with a strong track record of delivering high-quality software solutions.
• Extensive experience with multiple architectural styles and high-scale systems, demonstrating the ability to navigate and resolve complex technical challenges.
• Proven ability to deliver cross-functional projects on tight deadlines, balancing technical excellence with business needs.
• Strong leadership skills, fostering a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
• Proficiency in modern frontend technologies and frameworks, with a deep understanding of best practices in software development.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to high engineering standards.
• BS Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience; typically 10+ years of industry experience.
• Extensive programming expertise with TypeScript, Node.js, React, Next.js, Ember, and Svelte.
• Exceptional communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Strong sense of customer empathy and a focus on creating solutions that meet both technical and business requirements.
