Remote Lead Full Stack Engineer at Fresh Prints

Description:

Fresh Prints is an NYC-based custom apparel startup that trains and supports students to build businesses at their schools.
The company is looking for a Lead Full Stack Engineer to join their cross-functional Growth Team.
The role involves developing and delivering business applications, working closely with PMs, Quality engineers, and designers.
Responsibilities include guiding front-end and back-end developers, developing responsive user interfaces using Angular, and creating scalable backend APIs with NodeJS.
The engineer will work with MySQL and other databases, write and maintain unit tests, and ensure application performance metrics meet standards.
The position requires overseeing projects from conception to finished product and ensuring solutions meet both technical and consumer needs.
The engineer will stay updated on web application developments, monitor internal system reliability, perform code reviews, and coordinate with various teams.

Candidates must have 5+ years of experience as a full-stack developer and at least 2 years of team leadership experience.
Hands-on experience with React/Angular, Node JS, and MySQL is required.
A strong understanding of the Express Framework and experience with web services, databases, and web frameworks is necessary.
Proficiency in AWS, CI/CD, Docker, and GIT is expected.
Candidates should have strong knowledge of Javascript, CSS, and HTML, and be able to guide junior developers.
Familiarity with Agile and SCRUM methodologies is important.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with strong organizational and time management skills, are essential.
