Remote Lead Java Software Developer

Description:

• Support a large government organization in caring for United States Veterans and their families by developing tools to administer benefit programs efficiently and securely.
• Develop software solutions using various platforms and technologies, including cloud and machine learning.
• Analyze user needs and target environments to ensure solutions align with current architecture.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver software solutions that integrate data, decisions, and operations.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of development experience with expertise in Java Enterprise Application Design and Development.
• Proficiency in Java Spring Framework and experience in leading and mentoring a team of developers.
• Familiarity with Service Oriented Architecture concepts and enabling technology.
• Strong software development skills encompassing design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
• Knowledge of system architecture, object-oriented software design, REST, SOAP Web Services, Java, JavaScript, AngularJS, jQuery, Spring, RDBMS (Oracle, SQL), JPA/Hibernate, and Java EE.
• Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile, and SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with outstanding communication skills for collaboration in diverse team environments.
