The Lead Kubernetes Engineer will support a critical Federal project, integrating and managing security practices within development and operational processes.
Responsibilities include leading the design, implementation, and maintenance of secure containerized environments using Kubernetes and Docker.
The role involves developing and enforcing DevSecOps best practices, implementing CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring containerized environments for security vulnerabilities.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams to integrate containerization into existing DevSecOps processes is essential.
The engineer will design strategies for container orchestration, resource allocation, and security hardening within Kubernetes clusters.
Maintaining documentation and providing guidance on containerization practices to engineering teams is required.
Conducting regular security audits and compliance checks on containerized applications is part of the role.
The engineer will optimize container resource usage for performance efficiency and mentor junior DevSecOps engineers.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
Candidates must have 8+ years of experience in the DevSecOps field, focusing on security-driven development and deployment practices.
Proven experience as a Lead in containerization technologies, including Kubernetes and Docker, is necessary.
A strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), and automation tools is essential.
Demonstrated experience in designing and maintaining secure, scalable containerized environments is required.
Expertise in container orchestration, container security, and vulnerability management is needed.
Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP with a focus on secure container deployments is important.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot are required.
