Description:
SplitMetrics is seeking a creative and experienced Lead Machine Learning Engineer to join their Data&AI team.
The role is remote and involves working with large data sets to create innovative machine learning solutions on a global scale.
The technical stack includes Python for ML code, MLflow and DVC for experiments and data versioning, BigQuery and PostgreSQL for data warehousing, and orchestration frameworks like Airflow and Kubernetes for scheduling ML pipelines.
Responsibilities include leading a team of senior engineers and data scientists, developing and deploying new machine learning algorithms, analyzing the performance of current ML solutions, continuously improving delivery processes, providing technical leadership, and collaborating cross-functionally to guide product development.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in Data Science or Machine Learning Engineering, with at least 1 year in a lead role.
A deep understanding of machine learning algorithms and optimization methods is required.
Strong practical knowledge of Python and SQL is essential.
Understanding of Agile principles and experience as a Scrum Master is preferred.
Candidates should have working knowledge of deploying ML models from research to production.
