Remote Lead Mobile Developer

Description:

• The Lead Mobile Developer is responsible for driving the design, development, and delivery of Paxful’s mobile applications on iOS and Android platforms.
• This role requires a hands-on leader with strong technical expertise, a passion for mobile development, and a proven ability to manage and mentor a high-performing team.
• You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product, backend, and QA, to ensure Paxful’s mobile apps deliver seamless and innovative user experiences while maintaining scalability, security, and performance.
• Responsibilities include leading the development and enhancement of mobile applications, collaborating with product managers and designers, overseeing code quality, mentoring mobile developers, ensuring seamless integration with backend services, driving the adoption of new technologies, conducting code reviews, architecting scalable solutions, resolving technical issues, and supporting cross-functional initiatives.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 7+ years of experience in mobile application development, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Expertise in developing native applications for iOS (Swift, Objective-C) and Android (Kotlin, Java) is required.
• Proven experience with mobile architecture and design patterns, including knowledge of MVVM, MVP, or Clean Architecture.
• A strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines for mobile apps and experience with tools like GitLab CI, Fastlane, and TestFlight is necessary.
• Experience integrating mobile apps with backend APIs, along with strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and third-party SDKs, is essential.
• Proficiency in performance profiling and debugging tools, including familiarity with Xcode Instruments and Android Studio Profiler, is required.
• Familiarity with cross-platform frameworks (e.g., Flutter, React Native) and experience with blockchain or cryptocurrency-related mobile integrations are considered a plus.
• Knowledge of mobile app security best practices and contributions to open-source mobile projects or technical communities are also recommended.
