Description:

  • Lead and mentor a team of 2-4 quality engineers within platform engineering
  • Participate in test strategy and test automation as a hands-on lead
  • Drive process improvements and promote QE best practices
  • Develop E2E integrated test plans and identify optimization opportunities
  • Implement test scripts and automation tools for quality improvements
  • Collaborate with Engineering Managers, Product Managers, and Designers to align requirements
  • Use metrics to enhance processes and team performance
  • Measure product quality metrics for informed decision-making
  • Conduct interviews to identify potential high-performing candidates
  • Prioritize projects to achieve company objectives efficiently

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of leading growing, high-impact teams and delivering results
  • 5+ years of testing experience with test automation
  • Leadership experience with at least 3 direct reports
  • Proficiency in API & UI test automation frameworks like Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, Mocha, Jest, or Junit
  • Fluency in Javascript, Typescript, Python, or Java is a plus
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Github Actions, CircleCI
  • Strong understanding of scalable system design for web-based APIs and backend processing systems
  • Knowledge of QA methodologies in software companies with short release cycles
  • Experience coaching cross-functional teams on testing plans and strategies
  • Passion for building a positive engineering culture
