Darkhive, a startup focused on robotics for public safety and defense, is seeking a Lead Robotics Engineer to work on autonomy software stack development.
The role involves solving autonomy problems in small aerial robotics, designing and testing navigation algorithms, and validating models in various environments.
The engineer will be responsible for developing software interfaces, operating systems, algorithms, simulations, and optimizations to ensure reliable navigation in challenging situations.
The position aims to create safe, easy, and affordable robots capable of performing real tasks for human counterparts.
Requirements:
Strong experience in C/C++ with a focus on planning and navigation, ideally 8+ years of industry experience.
Bachelor's degree or higher in Robotics, Software Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or related field.
Experience in developing navigation algorithms for small platforms in GPS-denied environments.
Proficiency in developing for mobile/embedded platforms like NVIDIA XavierNX, Qualcomm Snapdragon, or Intel Neural Compute Stick.
Experience with navigation problems and their translation to embedded/edge environments.
