Remote Lead Security Analyst, Third Party Security

Description:

• In this role, you will design and execute a robust blockchain security assessment program.
• You will lead security risk assessments of blockchains and provide security expertise and risk mitigation recommendations to various enterprise teams.
• You will leverage your technical understanding of various blockchains such as Ethereum, Bitcoin, and Solana to conduct blockchain security assessments.
• You will evaluate threat intelligence related to various blockchains and provide an impact assessment.
• You will engage with blockchain engineering teams and provide security recommendations.
• You will design and enhance Circle’s blockchain assessment program.
• You will perform security assessments of a defined portfolio of Circle’s third parties and provide and track risk mitigation measures.
• You will mentor and coach junior team members.
• You will provide metrics and reporting.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computer science, computer engineering, cybersecurity, or a related field is required.
• A technical understanding of a variety of blockchains, including Ethereum, Bitcoin, and Solana, is necessary.
• An ability to understand source code, such as Python and Rust, is required.
• You must have 2+ years of working experience in blockchain security.
• You should have 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity, technology, or engineering.
• Expertise in communicating security risk to both technical and non-technical teams is essential.
• You must have the ability to take a deep dive into technical controls to determine control effectiveness.
• Experience working in financial services or another highly regulated industry is required.
• You should be self-motivated, able to work independently, and adapt to ambiguity.
• A creative problem-solver who can recommend and implement changes to improve pre-established processes and procedures is needed.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CTPRP, CISA, CISM, or similar will receive favorable consideration but are not required.

Benefits:

• This position is eligible for day-one PERM sponsorship for qualified candidates.
• The base pay range is $130,000-$170,000, determined by various factors including relevant experience, skill set, qualifications, and other business needs.
• An annual bonus target of 15% is included.
