AltScore is seeking a Security Engineer with a strong engineering background and a commitment to protecting data infrastructure.
This role involves leading efforts to safeguard sensitive financial data, essential for the integrity and success of lending solutions.
Responsibilities include developing and implementing robust security strategies and systems.
A deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, risk management, and data protection technologies is required.
The Security Engineer will lead a team of security professionals and collaborate with the Engineering Team to ensure a secure and resilient infrastructure against evolving threats.
The role includes creating and maintaining a culture of security within the company, including employee training and secure coding practices.
The position is critical in protecting the digital assets of a leading financial technology firm in Latin America.

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field is required.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in data security is necessary.
Proficiency in Python programming is essential.
Extensive experience and knowledge in complying with data protection standards such as SOC 2, ISO, GDPR, and similar certifications are required.
A strong technical foundation in cybersecurity principles, network security, and data protection technologies is needed.
A proven track record in developing and implementing data security strategies that align with international compliance standards is essential.
Excellent communication skills are required for this position.
Relevant certifications in cybersecurity (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) and compliance standards are highly desirable.

The base salary ranges from $4,000 to $12,000 USD per month, depending on skills according to the engineering scale L3 - L8.
A performance bonus is available based on the achievement of agreed KPIs.
