Description:

  • We are seeking an experienced Lead/Staff Engineer to guide and lead the development and implementation of our Customer Profile Master and Customer Data Platform (CDP).
  • As a key member of our Customer Technology engineering development team, you will play a crucial role in designing and building scalable solutions that centralize, analyze, and utilize customer data to drive highly reliable technology backend infrastructure and enhance customer experiences.
  • You will also train and mentor the development team to ensure high-equity code is being delivered to satisfy business requirements.
  • Responsibilities include designing and developing a comprehensive Customer Master Data Management (MDM) system to consolidate, cleanse, and manage customer data across various sources.
  • You will lead and mentor the Customer Technology engineering developers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data analytics, product management, and business stakeholders, to refine requirements and create effective backend solutions.
  • Lead the integration of data from disparate sources, ensuring data quality and consistency throughout the MDM system.
  • Develop our Graph API Access layer around customer PII, behavioral data, and propensity attributes for consumption by Marketing, Support Operations, and Personalization.
  • Monitor and optimize system performance to ensure scalability, reliability, and security of the upstream customer data service and downstream systems.
  • Lead the development of API and event-driven architectures that drive data integration.
  • Provide technical leadership to the Enterprise Architecture and senior leadership team.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field is required, with an advanced degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in software designing and implementation is required, with at least 5 years focused on developing in-house MDM systems for 50M+ entities.
  • At least 6 years of experience with Python 3 is required.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in implementing Event-driven architecture using Kafka is required.
  • At least 4 years of experience in developing applications using GraphQL is required.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience leading a development team is required.
  • At least 8 years of experience developing scalable APIs is required.
  • Proficiency in relevant technologies and tools such as SQL, NoSQL databases, data integration tools, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) is required.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and work independently are required.
  • Strong communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate and build consensus effectively across different teams and organizational levels, are required.
  • Preferred qualifications include knowledge of data privacy regulations and compliance (GDPR, CCPA, etc.), familiarity with big data technologies and data analytics, familiarity with Serverless in a cloud context, and familiarity with Kubernetes and Containerization.
