The Lead Software Engineer will lead the technical design and execution of key features and initiatives.
This role involves collaborating with product and design teams to translate strategic objectives into scalable solutions.
The engineer will determine and implement the best approaches for solving customer problems within a Shopify/Hydrogen headless e-commerce space.
Responsibilities include writing and reviewing code, shaping engineering processes, and ensuring high quality across the contractor engineering team.
The position reports to the Director of Digital Product and is ideal for an engaged engineer looking to take on leadership responsibilities.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 5+ years of hands-on development experience with a focus on Shopify/Hydrogen.
A minimum of 2+ years in an engineering team lead role is required.
Strong understanding of headless e-commerce and its applications is necessary.
Experience in a fast-paced, highly iterative product development process is essential.
The ability to deliver high-quality software in a team environment utilizing a scrum process is required.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are mandatory.
Candidates should be able to self-manage while collaborating effectively.
A strong front-end/JavaScript knowledge, particularly in React, is needed.
Leadership qualities, including strong communication skills, are essential.
Candidates must be located in the US, preferably on the East Coast, and be able to work effectively in a remote environment.

The salary range for this position is $140,000 - $185,000 per year.
