Description:

SureCost is seeking a skilled Lead Software Engineer to join their fully remote team in the United States.
The role involves owning feature delivery from ideation to implementation while collaborating closely with the Product team to align development with business goals.
Responsibilities include leading a team of engineers, maintaining a feedback loop with stakeholders, coordinating with other domain owners, and fostering an environment that encourages education and code quality.
The Lead Software Engineer will perform analysis, design, development, and unit testing of complex software applications, creating web solutions utilizing best-practice technologies.
Participation in the agile team process, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and customer discussions, is essential.
The position also requires participation in on-call rotations to ensure system reliability.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 8+ years in software design and development.
A demonstrated experience in a sustained technical leadership role is required, with responsibilities for guiding engineers and driving architectural decisions.
A BS/MS in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to break down complex challenges are necessary.
Technical expertise in Java/JEE, Spring Framework, SQL development, large-scale Java web applications, and AWS services is essential.
Experience with AI-assisted development tools and the ability to assess and optimize AI-generated code is required.
Familiarity with industry knowledge in healthcare, pharmacy, or B2B data transactions is a huge plus.

The estimated base salary range for this role is $160,000-$180,000 per year, plus an annual bonus based on performance.
