The Lead Software Engineer will work in a cross-discipline team with a modern tech stack, focusing on improving operational experience and customer care in the mortgage industry.
Key responsibilities include hands-on development, leading a squad, collaborating with product and data members, ensuring alignment with product objectives, and making technical decisions.
The role includes line management responsibilities for 1-3 developers and maintaining standards across teams.
The Lead Engineer will own multiple domains within the business, work with security and compliance, identify dependencies, and drive standardization and best practices.
Requirements:
Candidates should be eager to grow their careers and make an immediate impact, with the ability to deploy up to 150 times a day.
A strong focus on the product lifecycle and customer value is essential.
Passion for accessibility, operational metrics, UX, and A/B testing is required.
Candidates must be pragmatic and capable of delivering effective solutions based on measurable outcomes.
A strong understanding of web apps and related tech stacks is necessary.
Familiarity with React, Node.js, AWS Lambdas, ECS, Serverless, and Typescript is helpful but not mandatory.
Experience managing CI/CD pipelines and deployments is required.
AWS/DevOps knowledge, including Lambdas, API gateways, SQS, ECS, and Terraform, is a plus.
CLI skills are not mandatory, but familiarity with the command line is beneficial.
