Description:
As the Lead Software Engineer for Caregiver Experience at Remo, you will be responsible for leading a team in creating a supportive and empowering platform for caregivers and patients in the dementia care space.
Your role will involve designing and developing features that assist families in navigating the complexities of dementia care, providing them with necessary resources, connections, and tools for quality care.
You will have the opportunity to directly impact the lives of caregivers and patients, contributing significantly to Remo's mission of transforming dementia care.
A typical day will involve coding, making critical technology decisions, leading complex projects, and reviewing code from team members.
You will provide technical mentorship to engineers, coordinate project work, and ensure successful project delivery.
Your responsibilities will include building scalable systems, shaping the technical vision for caregiver and patient-facing products, designing user-friendly interfaces, fostering community connections, and integrating educational content and care plans seamlessly.
You will collaborate with various stakeholders, prioritize privacy and security, guide the team on best practices, and solve complex healthcare problems using resilient solutions.
Additionally, you will implement automated tests, prioritize security, and define architectural principles to maintain consistency across the organization.
Requirements:
10+ years of software engineering experience, with a focus on building user-centric applications at scale in the healthcare industry.
Strong proficiency in modern frontend technologies such as React, TypeScript, Next.js, and GraphQL, with a deep understanding of user experience and design principles.
Experience in developing full-stack user-facing features for web applications, emphasizing performance optimization and security.
Knowledge and expertise in FHIR, HL7, and EHR/EMR systems, as well as RESTful and GraphQL-based APIs.
Ability to lead technical design discussions, provide guidance on best practices, coding standards, and architectural principles.
Proven experience in leading technical teams, mentoring engineers, and collaborating effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
Familiarity with PostgreSQL, relational databases, messaging systems, and compliance with health data privacy standards (SOC 2, HIPAA, HITRUST) is a plus.
