Remote Lead Software Engineer (CCaaS)

Description:

• The Lead Software Engineer will work with LivePerson’s Voice Team to develop Voice Automations and Voice applications for brands to enhance customer interactions.
• Responsibilities include learning new technologies, leading a software development team, designing and developing high-volume applications, debugging production issues, and participating in on-call rotations.
• The role involves designing complex high-performance backend services using Java and creating solutions for Voice-based applications.
• The position requires expertise in Java programming, integrating with third-party APIs, debugging/testing distributed microservice applications, working with technologies like Kafka, Redis, and NoSQL, building RESTful microservices, and experience with Kubernetes and Cloud Computing Technologies.
• The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience building large-scale production software systems.
• 1-2 years of experience leading software engineering teams following agile methods as a tech lead.
• 5+ years of experience in Java programming.
• 2+ years of experience integrating with third-party APIs.
• 3+ years of experience debugging/testing distributed microservice applications.
• 3+ years of experience with technologies like Kafka, Redis, and NoSQL.
• 3+ years of experience building RESTful microservices.
• Experience building voice applications is a plus.
• 3+ years of experience in Kubernetes and familiarity with Cloud Computing Technologies like GCP and AWS.
