Description:

Protegrity is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join their R&D organization and help architect and build a new product line.
The role involves collaborating with technical experts and shaping the team and technology used.
Candidates will implement security best practices to ensure products are secure, stable, and compliant.
Responsibilities include driving technical excellence, collaborating with teammates, architecting and building frontend utilities using JavaScript and/or TypeScript, and creating Jenkins build pipelines.
The engineer will integrate client-side utilities with REST APIs, automate test cases, write user-friendly documentation, and participate in scrum ceremonies.
The position requires contributing to every stage of the product lifecycle and providing tier 2/3 support for the products built.
The team operates with the agility of a startup, making small company experience a plus.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 6-10 years of post-bachelor’s degree experience as a software engineer.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
Mastery of computer science fundamentals, including security best practices, is required.
Experience in building and maintaining software products in JavaScript or TypeScript is necessary.
Knowledge and experience integrating with REST APIs are required.
Candidates should be willing to continue learning new technologies and methods.
Critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills are important.
Preferred qualifications include knowledge of client-side security best practices, data security, and experience with Java, Python, or C++.
Experience with structured database systems (SQL) is also preferred.
