Description:
Corelight is seeking a Lead Software Engineer - Cloud Infrastructure to enhance cybersecurity by transforming network footprints into actionable insights.
The role involves collaborating with development and quality engineering to build and maintain a continuous integration pipeline from development to production.
Responsibilities include designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud infrastructure solutions on platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
The engineer will develop automation scripts and tools to streamline the provisioning, configuration, and management of cloud resources.
Collaboration with software development teams is essential to integrate cloud services into applications and workflows.
The position requires implementing monitoring and alerting systems to ensure the performance, availability, and security of cloud environments.
The engineer will optimize resource utilization and cost efficiency through continuous monitoring, analysis, and optimization of cloud infrastructure.
Staying current with emerging technologies and best practices in cloud computing, DevOps, and infrastructure automation is crucial.
Participation in the resolution of production incidents and contribution to post-mortem analysis and improvement efforts is expected.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related fields, or equivalent experience is required.
Candidates must have 10+ years of professional experience in cloud infrastructure engineering or related roles.
Strong programming skills in languages such as Bash, Python, and Go are necessary.
Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation is required.
Proficiency in scripting/programming languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell is essential.
Experience with automation tools like Jenkins, GitLab, and Ansible/Chef is needed.
A solid understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and cloud-native architectures is required.
Candidates must have experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential.
Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or similar is required.
Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or similar technologies is necessary.
Knowledge of security practices and standards in cloud environments is required.
Familiarity with SLI, SLO, SLA, and Error Budget concepts is necessary.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues under pressure are essential.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps/SRE practices is required.
Excellent documentation skills are necessary.
