The Lead Software Engineer - Cloud Infrastructure will collaborate with development and quality engineering teams to build and maintain the continuous integration pipeline from development to production.
This role requires a strong systems background and a focus on automated software engineering and continuous delivery.
Responsibilities include designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud infrastructure solutions on platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
The engineer will develop automation scripts and tools to streamline the provisioning, configuration, and management of cloud resources.
Collaboration with software development teams to integrate cloud services into applications and workflows is essential.
The role involves implementing monitoring and alerting systems to ensure the performance, availability, and security of cloud environments.
The engineer will optimize resource utilization and cost efficiency through continuous monitoring and analysis of cloud infrastructure.
Staying current with emerging technologies and best practices in cloud computing, DevOps, and infrastructure automation is expected.
Participation in the resolution of production incidents and contributing to post-mortem analysis and improvement efforts is required.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related fields, or equivalent experience is required.
A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in cloud infrastructure engineering or related roles is necessary.
Strong programming skills in languages such as Bash, Python, and Go are essential.
Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation is required.
Proficiency in scripting/programming languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell is necessary.
Experience with automation tools like Jenkins, GitLab, and Ansible/Chef is required.
A solid understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and cloud-native architectures is essential.
Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is required.
Strong communication and collaboration skills are necessary.
Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or similar is required.
Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or similar technologies is necessary.
Knowledge of security practices and standards in cloud environments is essential.
Experience with SLI, SLO, SLA, and Error Budget concepts is required.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues under pressure are necessary.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps/SRE practices is required.
Excellent documentation skills are necessary.
The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment is essential.

The compensation for this position ranges from $180,000 to $225,000 USD, depending on location, skills, and experience.
Additional benefits may include equity and a percentage of compensation that may come in the form of a commission-based or discretionary bonus.
