Description:

  • Corelight is a cybersecurity company focused on transforming network and cloud activity into evidence for threat detection and response.
  • The Lead Software Engineer - Cloud Infrastructure will collaborate with development and quality engineering teams to build and maintain the continuous integration pipeline from development to production.
  • This role requires a strong systems background and a focus on automated software engineering and continuous delivery.
  • Responsibilities include designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud infrastructure solutions on platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • The engineer will develop automation scripts and tools to streamline the provisioning, configuration, and management of cloud resources.
  • Collaboration with software development teams to integrate cloud services into applications and workflows is essential.
  • The role involves implementing monitoring and alerting systems to ensure the performance, availability, and security of cloud environments.
  • The engineer will optimize resource utilization and cost efficiency through continuous monitoring and analysis of cloud infrastructure.
  • Staying current with emerging technologies and best practices in cloud computing, DevOps, and infrastructure automation is expected.
  • Participation in the resolution of production incidents and contributing to post-mortem analysis and improvement efforts is required.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related fields, or equivalent experience is required.
  • A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in cloud infrastructure engineering or related roles is necessary.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Bash, Python, and Go are essential.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation is required.
  • Proficiency in scripting/programming languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell is necessary.
  • Experience with automation tools like Jenkins, GitLab, and Ansible/Chef is required.
  • A solid understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and cloud-native architectures is essential.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is required.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills are necessary.
  • Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or similar is required.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or similar technologies is necessary.
  • Knowledge of security practices and standards in cloud environments is essential.
  • Experience with SLI, SLO, SLA, and Error Budget concepts is required.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues under pressure are necessary.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps/SRE practices is required.
  • Excellent documentation skills are necessary.
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment is essential.
