Description:
Serve Robotics is seeking a Lead Software Engineer for their Delivery Platform, focusing on the development of scalable and robust systems for Delivery Management and Fleet Management platforms.
The role involves spending approximately 75% of the time coding, designing, and reviewing Elixir code while providing leadership to a small engineering team.
Responsibilities include architecting and developing distributed systems in Elixir, mentoring engineers, owning platform performance, identifying bottlenecks, collaborating with stakeholders, championing code quality, and staying current with emerging technologies.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of professional experience in software development.
A minimum of 2+ years of experience in Elixir or Erlang, with a strong background in building large-scale, distributed systems is required.
A solid understanding of concurrency, fault tolerance, and event-driven architectures is essential.
Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
Experience managing small, agile engineering teams is necessary, along with strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Candidates should be comfortable spending 75% of their time coding, troubleshooting, and reviewing code, with a passion for building maintainable software.
