Description:
Dscout is seeking a Lead Software Engineer proficient in Elixir to join their team of People Nerds.
The ideal candidate will have experience in creating and launching new products, with a focus on technical aspects like performance and scalability.
They should be familiar with SaaS-focused modern backends, API development, SQL, and occasional frontend tasks.
The team values collaboration, agility, and technical quality, deploying to production frequently.
The backend tech stack includes GraphQL APIs, video processing, WebRTC, WebSockets, and background job workflows.
Responsibilities include working in a cross-functional team, mentoring engineers, focusing on backend development, and ensuring technical quality.
The role involves developing customer-facing applications, collaborating with the design team, and applying a DevOps mindset to improve the Continuous Delivery pipeline.
Requirements:
6+ years of experience as a software engineer.
Track record of leading and mentoring engineers.
Proficiency in Elixir and its ecosystem (minimum 1 year).
Good working knowledge of SQL.
Experience with full stack architectures, API design, and implementation.
Solid experience in production troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and tuning.
Familiarity with frontend development, agile, DevOps, and CI/CD.
Experience with cloud architectures.
