Description:

  • Dscout is seeking a Lead Software Engineer - Elixir to join their remote team in the United States.
  • The role involves building software that bridges the gap between product teams and users, utilizing advanced AI and research tools.
  • The candidate will work on a web platform built on React.js and Elixir, with GraphQL APIs and PostgreSQL for storage.
  • Responsibilities include being an active member of a cross-functional product development team, mentoring other engineers, and ensuring the technical quality of the team's product.
  • The engineer will develop customer-facing applications in a fast-paced agile environment and collaborate closely with the design team.
  • The position requires a focus on backend development with some full-stack work, applying a DevOps mindset to improve the Continuous Delivery pipeline.
  • The working hours are standard from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM CT, with flexibility as needed.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 6+ years of experience as a software engineer.
  • A desire and proven track record of leading and mentoring engineers is essential.
  • At least 1 year of experience with Elixir and its ecosystem is required.
  • Good working knowledge of SQL is necessary.
  • Experience with full stack architectures, API design, and implementation is expected.
  • Solid experience with production troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and tuning is required.
  • Familiarity with frontend development is a plus.
  • Candidates should be familiar with agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and CI/CD processes.
  • Experience with cloud architectures is also necessary.
