Description:

  • The Lead Software Engineer I position is a remote and flexible role focused on software engineering and architecture.

  • The Lead Software Engineer will oversee the end-to-end development lifecycle, from ideation to deployment, ensuring the timeliness and quality of engineering products.
  • Responsibilities include developing and delivering software iteratively, performing unit and integration tests, and documenting technical requirements.
  • The role requires collaboration with Product Managers and cross-functional stakeholders to shape and drive the product roadmap.
  • Internal and external stakeholder satisfaction will be a key performance measure.
  • The Lead Software Engineer will also participate in knowledge sharing within the team.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology, mathematics, or equivalent work experience is required.
  • Candidates must have 5+ years of experience as a software engineer and at least 1 year of experience in a lead or senior software engineer role.
  • Experience in developing features using Python or Java Enterprise is necessary.
  • A basic understanding of relational or NoSQL database concepts, including query syntax, is required.
  • Candidates should have experience in building RESTful applications and deploying via Docker or Kubernetes; exposure to Helm is a plus.
  • A proven track record of collaborating with Product, Design, and engineering teams to scope projects and guide execution is essential.
  • Candidates must demonstrate innovation, problem-solving skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality work rapidly.
  • Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment concepts is required.
  • High self-efficacy, motivation, organization, and effective communication skills are necessary.
  • A passion for reducing manual work when designing and building tools for internal colleagues is important.
  • Practicing Agile methodologies and the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team is required.
  • Candidates should be confident in challenging the status quo while being open to others' ideas.
  • The ability to teach and learn from others to promote knowledge continuity and personal development is essential.
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills are required.

  • The salary for this position ranges from $95,000 to $115,000 per year, with eligibility for an annual incentive bonus based on individual and company performance, targeting 20%.
