Description:
The Lead Software Engineer I position is a remote and flexible role focused on software engineering and architecture.
The role emphasizes agile principles, allowing for quick iteration and delivery of secure solutions that add value to customers and the business.
The organization is cloud-first, partnering closely with AWS to leverage new technologies and innovations.
The Lead Software Engineer will oversee the end-to-end development lifecycle, from ideation to deployment, ensuring the timeliness and quality of engineering products.
Responsibilities include developing and delivering software iteratively, performing unit and integration tests, and documenting technical requirements.
The role requires collaboration with Product Managers and cross-functional stakeholders to shape and drive the product roadmap.
Internal and external stakeholder satisfaction will be a key performance measure.
The Lead Software Engineer will also participate in knowledge sharing within the team.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology, mathematics, or equivalent work experience is required.
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience as a software engineer and at least 1 year of experience in a lead or senior software engineer role.
Experience in developing features using Python or Java Enterprise is necessary.
A basic understanding of relational or NoSQL database concepts, including query syntax, is required.
Candidates should have experience in building RESTful applications and deploying via Docker or Kubernetes; exposure to Helm is a plus.
A proven track record of collaborating with Product, Design, and engineering teams to scope projects and guide execution is essential.
Candidates must demonstrate innovation, problem-solving skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality work rapidly.
Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment concepts is required.
High self-efficacy, motivation, organization, and effective communication skills are necessary.
A passion for reducing manual work when designing and building tools for internal colleagues is important.
Practicing Agile methodologies and the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team is required.
Candidates should be confident in challenging the status quo while being open to others' ideas.
The ability to teach and learn from others to promote knowledge continuity and personal development is essential.
Excellent English written and verbal communication skills are required.

The salary for this position ranges from $95,000 to $115,000 per year, with eligibility for an annual incentive bonus based on individual and company performance, targeting 20%.
