Remote Lead Software Engineer (.Net) - Platform

Description:

• Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of highly available and scalable infrastructure and services.
• Optimise the usage of AWS Technologies to align with industry security best practices.
• Develop and implement best practices for monitoring, alerting, and incident response to ensure system reliability and availability.
• Automate deployment, configuration, and management processes to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
• Conduct performance analysis and capacity planning to proactively address scalability challenges and optimise resource utilisation.
• Collaborate with software engineering teams to ensure applications are designed for reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Drive continuous improvement through the evaluation and adoption of new technologies, tools, and methodologies.
• Debug and perform root cause analysis for application issues.
• Proactively identify application pain points and suggest mitigation strategies.
• Take initiative in improving the development process.

Requirements:

• Experience as a .NET Software Development Engineer, particularly for a cloud-based SaaS.
• Experience with C#, ASP.NET MVC, .NET Core, SQL Server.
• Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, and enforcing secure cloud infrastructure.
• Experience in developing software using microservices or SOA architecture for deployment on public clouds, preferably AWS.
• Good understanding of database concepts and experience working with relational databases such as MS SQL.
• Strong knowledge of Elastic Beanstalk.
• Strong knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes (EKS).
• Experience using Agile methodologies and working with Product teams.
• Quality coding practices, including test-driven development, unit testing, and secure coding awareness.
• Passion for learning and sharing knowledge, and willingness to challenge peers and be challenged.
• Proficient in English language, both written and verbal.
