Description:
Our client is a fast-growing company seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join their dynamic team.
You will work closely with stakeholders and lead the engineering team to support and enhance a cutting-edge headless CMS, high-performance hosting platform, and programmatic ads system.
These systems are designed to help media companies scale effortlessly.
As a Lead Software Engineer, you will be instrumental in leading large projects, including system design and implementation.
You will manage multiple concurrent projects, design complex systems, and lead productive meetings with internal stakeholders.
Your role will ensure that business and engineering teams are aligned, and you will inspire and motivate other engineers to do their best work while understanding the business context of your projects.
Responsibilities include leading headless CMS migrations, optimizing hosting environments, troubleshooting, developing new product features, collaborating across time zones, and providing insights on team structure and tools.
Requirements:
You must have 10+ years of practical experience in software engineering with a strong web development background.
Experience in leading and inspiring engineering teams is required.
Proficiency in the React-Node stack, WordPress, AWS, and Fastly (or similar CDN solutions) is necessary.
You should have experience with high-traffic media sites or large-scale web applications.
The ability to work independently while staying deeply connected with the team is essential.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially across time zones, are required.
You must possess strong written and verbal English communication skills.
A proven track record in managing multiple projects concurrently is necessary.
Familiarity with programmatic advertising systems is preferred.
